Budget-Friendly Fall Wardrobe Staples

Classic style lovers, I have found the best budget-friendly, classic fall wardrobe staples. I am so excited to have to actually have a fall wardrobe and to get to put together fall outfits now that we live in the northeast. It has been in the 40s in the mornings in Philly, and I’m freezing/loving it!

However, after having to move across the country and set up a household, I don’t have the biggest clothing budget. So, my focus when I have been shopping has been to make a wardrobe wishlist and to find budget-friendly fall wardrobe staples. I am looking for inexpensive pieces that are of high quality and will stand the test of time. This way I won’t have to repurchase a full wardrobe next year because all of my clothes have fallen apart!

I consider myself something of an expert when it comes to creating a budget-friendly wardrobe that is versatile, elegant, and well put together. My #1 trick when it comes to building a wardrobe on a budget is to go for pieces in classic, neutral colors that you can mix and match with the majority of your clothes. I find that if most of my clothes already go together, it is way easier to get dressed in the morning. There’s also the added benefit that I don’t feel guilty about indulging if I spot something less versatile that I absolutely love!

I linked some of my favorite budget-friendly fall finds here. Do you have any budget-friendly fall favorites? Let me know if I have missed any key fall basics, I’m still new to this!

It’s all good! But it’s still a whack in the face 😂 What’s going on for you right now? How are you feeling? 🤍

If you’re looking for long lasting flowers, I can’t recommend these Trader Joe’s peony double tulips enough! I *just* tossed my purple bouquet from three weeks ago because I needed a vase and they were on the decline, but I probably could have had them las a full four weeks with some more frequent stem trimming and fresh water (I was only refreshing them maybe once a week). These gorgeous yellow blooms are two weeks old and still going strong!
Does anyone else remember @carly ‘s"I can have f Does anyone else remember @carly ‘s"I can have fun in a blazer" post from...several years ago? It lives rent-free in my brain, lol. This is the same idea, but with a twist:

I firmly believe that I can be professional in a headband!

My work attire definitely skews towards light neutrals, pastels, pinks, and fun, sleek heels (helllllooo @sarahflint_nyc !), I have a naturally chatty personality, and I tend to describe myself as having "resting friendly face" (seriously, ask me how many times strangers have asked me for directions this week alone!). Due to the society that we live in, this means that I am *frequently* underestimated in business settings.

Honestly, this usually works to my advantage! No one expects the girl wearing a headband and a pink cardigan to hold her own on a call with higher-ups and get things done.

I can always tell that I've been underestimated when they get this look in their eyes like,  "oh...this isn't what I was expecting." Will men ever learn that what we're wearing doesn't affect our ability to do our job?

If you've been scared to wear your more feminine, fun pieces to work for fear you won't be taken as seriously, let this be your sign to break out the headband, unexpected blazer, or extra pop of color. You can still be a tough businesswoman in a headband 😉
