Happy Tuesday, friends! Today I am sharing my pink home office setup.
When I moved to Philly and started my new job I knew I would be completely redoing my work from home setup. At my old position, I had taken my entire desk set up home with me. This was very convenient! I didn’t have to buy anything for my home office until several months into working from home.
Since I didn’t immediately have to set up a home office space, I had the chance to see a few different WFH “trends” on social media and read plenty of reviews about different office products. This was great because I knew exactly what I wanted when it came time to set up my own space.
Besides the obvious requirement that my home office setup be mostly pink and super cute, I really wanted to have a functional and compact space. My fiancé and I share a home office and he has two large monitors. I did not want to compete for space or feel like our worktop was disorganized. Additionally, I wanted to have a set up that I could switch in and out of. This was so I could easily move to the living room or kitchen if I needed quiet for a call. With those requirements in mind, my pink home office setup was born!
The Most Functional Item
The most functional item I knew I had to purchase was this laptop stand. I knew I wouldn’t be getting monitors and I didn’t want to be hunched over my laptop all day long. This stand keeps my laptop at the perfect height, feels sturdy, and is a great price.
The Most Exciting Items
The products I was most excited about were this mouse and keyboard. The color of the keyboard is slightly off in the image online for some reason. It matches the mouse exactly in real life, which is what I wanted. These are both so cute and make me smile every time I sit down to work. Additionally, they are super, super easy to connect to. They are both battery-powered Bluetooth devices, so I can move them anywhere and they automatically connect to my computer with the press of a button. You can even connect the keyboard to three different devices that you can switch between just by pressing a button. I’ve used it to type on my phone a few times and you could also use it for an iPad.
Unexpected Favorite Purchases
My top favorite purchases were actually really unexpected! My first favorite is this desk pad. I knew I wanted a desk pad instead of a regular mousepad. My “desk” is actually a dining table from IKEA, and, eventually, we’d like to use it for that purpose so I didn’t want to damage the surface. This desk pad is such a great price and looks so incredible in person. The quality is really amazing! I can use my mouse anywhere on the pad and it works great, and it’s a really, really great surface for writing. My favorite part is that it ties everything together and makes it look like a cohesive, intentional set up instead of a bunch of desk clutter on a table. I got the brown so it would “anchor” my desk area and make it feel more “grown-up” and luxurious. I can’t recommend it enough!
My second unexpected favorite was this butt pillow. I can’t sing its praises enough. Seriously. I can feel the pressure being taken off my lower back when I sit on it. It is amazing. I’ve told all my friends who have complained of lower back pain to buy it ASAP. It is so good!
What I Can’t Live Without
Finally, the items I can’t live without are a bullet journal-style notebook and these pens. I’m one of those people who has to take notes throughout a meeting or I won’t remember what happened. I also write down to-do lists and random bits of important information all throughout the day. If I didn’t have these, I would probably spend the entire workday staring at my laptop with no idea what to do!
What are your favorite items in your home office set up? Is there anything you can’t live without?
